Persuasive
Writing- What we thought:
Persuasive writing is when you talk someone into doing
something for you.
Persuasive writing is when you try to convince someone that
your point of view is better.
Persuasive writing is to blackmail someone by making
something sound exciting.
It is when you are trying to change someone’s opinion with
facts that support your argument.
Persuasive writing starts with an introduction and finishes
with a conclusion. You can use a “fish
hook “at the start to grab the reader’s interest.
It contains expression, adjectives and rhetorical questions
It contains proper grammar, descriptive language,
interesting facts which are paragraphed.
It needs to be punctuated correctly
Use facts to make the writing easy to understand.
Each sentence needs to make sense.
It will have several main ideas.
It could contain technical language.
The ideas are ordered.
Which points do you agree with and which ones do you think are not really related to persuasive writing?
Room Nine. We were showing your page to our class during interval. We were not sure about the blackmailing being persuasive writing. Also we thought that procedural writing is technical writing so that's not persuasive either. Really looking forward to seeing some of your students work published online.

ReplyDeleteNo problem - we've got a gorup of students from Japan who are present at our class at the moment - its there last day tomorrow but its busy times!
